Fuck You Google, Part Deux

Well, it looks like Google has decided to back off their previous stance regarding adult-oriented/porn blogs:

"This week, we announced a change to Blogger’s porn policy stating that blogs that distributed sexually explicit images or graphic nudity would be made private.

We’ve received lots of feedback about making a policy change that impacts longstanding blogs, and about the negative impact this could have on individuals who post sexually explicit content to express their identities.

We appreciate the feedback. Instead of making this change, we will be maintaining our existing policies.

What this means for blog owners

Commercial porn will continue to be prohibited.
If you have pornographic or sexually explicit content on your blog, you must turn on the adult content setting so a warning will show. If a blog with adult content is brought to Google’s attention and the content warning is not active, we will turn on the warning interstitial for you. If this happens repeatedly, the blog may be removed.
If you don't have sexually explicit content on your blog and you're following the rest of the Blogger Content Policy, you don't need to make any changes to your blog."

There was no reason to have tried this in the first place, but I'm glad they got enough heat to make them reconsider. That said, I'm still going to look into getting a website independent of Google. I have no confidence that they won't try this again at some point.

In the meantime, however, I'll get back to posting my artwork--I'm not finished with Anak, Matt, Omari, Karson, Jamal, and Tarzan yet!

FUCK YOU, GOOGLE. This is what happens when we're not looking--or looking closely. This is what happens when we think corporations like Google aren't evil. How are they going to decide the line between artistic representations of nudes and "graphic nude images"? Pornography is not illegal; this is just Google being the fucking kind of bullshit company they pretend NOT to be.

Well, now that Google has gone fucktarded, I'm going to have to find somewhere else to post my artwork. I've asked Telemachus if I can post my work there. Alternatively, I might just go ahead and start a website with a host that is porn-friendly.
